Psychiatric Evaluations

Psychiatric Evaluations take place in one of our offices in Pittsburgh and may be combined with a Medical and Behavioral Consultation involving both physicians. (see below)

Medical Evaluations

We do medical evaluations on children and adults. Often these are done in conjunction with psychiatric and behavioral consultations and take place in our Pittsburgh office. For families who come from a distance, these consultations take an entire day and offer extended feedback and conversation concerning the specific problems or needs of your child and family. Residential facilities also take advantage of these evaluations to resolve ongoing issues.

Weight and Behavioral Coaching

Picture
The behavior management skills needed to care for a person with PWS are not easily acquired and are sometimes specific to the individual. Effective behavioral coaching can be successfully provided through internet and telephone contacts with families or care providers. E mail for more information. (below) We request documentation of PWS genetic diagnosis, other genetic diagnosis  or lack of PWS diagnosis.

Out-of-State Consultation

We are each licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and therefore do not render direct medical care to patients who have not been evaluated in our Pittsburgh offices. However, consultations to your local agency, service provider or to your medical providers are possible under specific circumstances depending on the area of your concerns and your home state. Strictly Behavioral consultations are excepted.
